User data deletion

How to delete your Kalingap account and the personal information we hold about you, including information we received when you signed in with Facebook, Google or TikTok.

1. Delete your account while signed in

If you can still sign in, you can delete the account yourself. Deletion runs when you confirm it, and it cannot be undone.

  • Families, on the website. Open the Profile tab and choose Delete my account at the bottom of the page. Confirm in the dialog.
  • Caregivers, on the website. Open Profile, choose Settings, then Delete my account, and confirm.
  • Families, in the iPhone or Android app. Open the Profile tab and choose Delete my account.
  • Caregivers, in the iPhone or Android app. Open the Profile tab, choose Settings, then Delete my account.

The same control covers an account you opened with an email code and an account you opened or linked with Facebook, Google or TikTok.

2. Ask us by email

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we delete the account for you, email support@kalingap.app from the email address on the account. Say that you want your Kalingap account and the personal information we hold about you deleted.

If you signed in with Facebook, Google or TikTok, name which one, and include the name or email that service shared with us, so we can find the right account.

We may ask you to confirm that you control that email address before we delete anything. We will not delete an account on a request we cannot match to you.

3. What we delete, and what we keep

Deleting the account removes the personal information on it. Sensitive files are deleted, not hidden behind a flag.

  • Your name, email, phone number and profile photo are cleared, and the photo file is deleted.
  • Identification and clearance files, and a caregiver intro video, are deleted.
  • Biography, date of birth, health details stored on care recipients, and push-notification tokens are removed. Care recipient names on the account are cleared.
  • The link between the Kalingap account and the login that created it — an email code, Facebook, Google or TikTok — is removed.

Some records stay. Booking records, including the service address and the details recorded for the visit, are kept for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require, and for as long as needed to resolve a dispute. Your name, email and phone number are cleared from the account those bookings belong to. Identification documents and clearance files are not part of what we keep. Your consent record stays, closed with a withdrawal, as the proof of the basis on which we held information while the account existed.

The Privacy Policy describes the same retention, including how long a reviewed clearance file is kept before the file itself is deleted.

4. Facebook Login and other social sign-in

If you used Facebook Login, Google or TikTok, Kalingap received profile details from that service — typically your name, email and photo — and stored a link to that login. Deleting your Kalingap account removes those details from the account and disconnects that login.

That does not delete your Facebook, Google or TikTok account, and it does not change settings on those services. To stop one of them offering Kalingap as a way to sign in, remove Kalingap in that service’s own settings. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites (the label can vary). Removing Kalingap there stops new sharing from Facebook. It does not delete the Kalingap account, or the information we already hold. Use the steps on this page for that.

5. How long it takes

When you delete the account yourself, we remove the information described above when you confirm.

When you email us, we complete the request within 30 days of being able to match it to your account.

Still have a question? Email support@kalingap.app and we'll help.
